About Spring Pins

Kanebridge has greatly expanded its offerings of Spring Pins to satisfy the demand of its distributors. Also known as Roll Pins, they are widely used in a variety of industries because of these three advantages:

  1. They are fast and easy to use since they can be installed in one operation.
  2. They can reduce a customer’s inventory because they do the job of a wide range of other fasteners like Set Screws, Taper Pins and Straight Pins.
  3. They are economical—they simplify product designs, are made in one piece and are easy to remove.

The Roll Pin works by holding its position in an assembly with a predetermined spring tension. They are rated to withstand double shear loads as noted here.

The Coiled Spring Pins are more flexible than Slotted Pins which make them the preferred choice in softer materials. They are also superior at withstanding vibration after installation.

Kanebridge now carries Military-Grade Steel Spring Pins with a Mechanical Zinc Phosphate coating to MS16562. Complete Military certification is available for all sizes.
